Last Bite Regret

 Poem; Tapas Sarkar

Not with hunger, but with love

I bit a part of that pleasure,

I chewed the taste

And ate the beauty,

I felt the essence of caring

Maybe it's called love or other…,

Long after, when all the tastes are gone

Now, not love, but the hunger is brute,

There is no hand to feed

Even a drop of water is a far away dessert,

There left only a memory with a dry body

Who is silent with his last bite regret.
